\nOn April 23 the Minister of Economy Trade and Industry approved the establishment of the Ohma nuclear power plant (NPP) in Aomori Prefecture.<\/p>\n

No Sign of Resumption of Vitrification at Rokkasho<\/a><\/b>
\nThe final stage of the active tests of the Rokkasho Reprocessing Plant began in February this year, but the high-level liquid waste vitrification facility is still out of action. Construction and testing of the plant is scheduled to be completed at the end of May, but this is now clearly impossible.<\/p>\n
