Reference Material: Nuclear power plants and research facilities in Japan and East Asia
Our bi-annual summary of nuclear facilities in the East Asia region. Compared to the previous one, Japan’s nuclear fleet is definitely dwindling as permanent shutdowns continue. The same is true of Korea and Taiwan. China, on the other hand, continues its nuclear expansion, although some of the ‘planned’ nuclear plants, notably the ones inland, are still at the ‘planned’ stage 2 years later, indicating that progress is not going smoothly everywhere.
