Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) has sampled and analyzed fish and shellfish in the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station (FDNPS) port and in an area of ocean up to 20 km from the power station, releasing the Cs-134 and Cs-137 data as a Cs total in the form of a PDF file.1 Here we show the changes in the concentration (Bq/kg) of total Cs in the fish and shellfish in the port. For the first time since the accident, there was no sample with a total Cs exceeding 100 Bq/kg.

Changes in the numbers of Fukushima Prefecture evacuees, number of people living in districts where the evacuation order has been lifted, and numbers of elementary and middle school students are shown.
It has been reported that the total number of Fukushima Prefecture evacuees both inside and outside the prefecture is 23,639 (as of November 2025). However, the number of voluntary evacuees is not captured in the statistics, and people who continue to live in evacuation are excluded from the statistics as evacuation orders are lifted. Government statistics do not therefore give a true picture of the realities of evacuation. What is the actual situation with evacuees? Looking at former evacuation order zones, the number of registered residents and the actual number of people living in the zones differs by about 37,245. If voluntary evacuees were included, it would be seen that larger numbers of people are still living in evacuation. The current statistics are unable to capture the realities of the situation and are little more than a recovery masquerade.

The number of elementary and junior high school students in the former evacuation zones in Fukushima Prefecture has dropped significantly from 8,348 before the accident to 1,275. However, with the lifting of the evacuation order and the establishment of designated reconstruction and revitalization hub zones, the number is on the rise from 863 in 2018.
